Admission is good for the full day
Socks are required for all guests
Waiver required (see our Plan You Visit page to sign)
Please arrive on time (reservations held for 10 minutes)
Check in at the front desk with your child’s name

Piper's Place Discovery Museum's

Discovery Garden

Our garden is a fully enclosed, shaded outdoor play space with a soft artificial grass surface for safe, comfortable play. Parents can relax in our shaded lounge area while still easily supervising their children.

Inside the space, children can explore a sandbox, play kitchen with hands-on learning tools, water features, and slides—encouraging sensory play, creativity, and movement.

Garden Hours

Weekdays: Reserved for preschool and after-school programs
Saturday: 10:00 AM - 1:45 PM - Unless open play is closed. See open play hours above.
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 1:45 PM - Unless open play is closed. See open play hours above.

Garden access can be subject to change and/or limited by special events, inclement weather or maintenance.

Garden Guidelines

Adult supervision is required at all times
Please use caution with the gate — it opens inward only. Be sure to fully close and lock it behind you when entering and exiting
To help keep our indoor space clean, please enjoy outdoor play at the end of your visit (avoid going back and forth between inside and outside)
Our garden includes sand and water features, so expect a little messy play
If you notice anything broken or needing attention, please let a staff member know
Shoes are optional in the garden (artifical grass surface)
Please do not turn on any water faucets or hoses
